Ionizers Compared
This web page is intended for a brief over view of what is considered to be top end models in the ionizer market. It by no means is a complete list of product specifications. Please go to the appropriate website for more information on any of these ionizers for more information. Most of the ionizers have similar features such as sound and voice, built is alarms, filter life indicators, LCD displays, are similar in weight and size, ease of operation etc. and can be installed to the kitchen faucet easily. With that being stated here are some brief comments on some top ionizers. Please e-mail us with your comments as changes can be made to this page if appropriate information is provided.
The Leveluk SD301 ionizer made in Japan by the Enagic Co. is called a
Kangen water machine that produces Kangen water which is alkaline
and ionized water. Kangen in Japanese means “Back to Origin" but is
alkaline and ionized water. This machine has an attractive décor and is
the only machine that has 7 ionizer plates. The Leveluk SD301
comes with a
solid 5 year warranty and a great job has been done to market it and Kangen water. However it is surprising that the machine is reported by
those testing it to not produce high –ORP readings but like all ionizers
results will vary due to the presence of alkaline minerals. The Leveluk does not
have .01M filtration capabilities, does not have a water flow control
valve, mesh plate technology or the new patented
DARC(double action
reverse cleaning) system. The MLM that markets the Leveluk has done a
great job of spreading the message of alkaline and ionized living water
but with a price tag of $3,980 this machine is notably over priced
especially when machines much less priced can do more. Enagic is a
solid, dependable company and not to say this machine isn't built
well but would not appear to be a good value for the money especially
considering the alternatives.
The Excel IE-900 made by Enagic partner Thorhan Kiden and marketed
separately from the Kangen water machine and made in Japan. It is an
attractive model with appealing features like a color LCD and a built in
pH and ORP meter which no other ionizer has. The claims for this machine
are for super acid water down to 2.5pH and alkaline levels greater than
10pH. Information about the machine testing for high –ORP have not been
founded but please note manufactures claims are often different than
individual results. However like all ionizers it does depend on the amount of
minerals in the source water as well as beginning pH and the power of
it’s water cell. This machine sells for $1,899
and is a much better
value than the Leveluk. The IE-900 does not have
.01M filtration
capabilities, (in fact it has only a 4 stage filter), does not have a
water flow control valve,
mesh plate technology or the new patented DARC( double action reverse cleaning) system. This machine comes with
only a 1 year warranty.
The Life Ionizer 5000 made in South Korea and selling for a price of $1,895 is a better value than either the Leveluk or the Excel IE-900. This machine comes with a bonus package that includes a pre-filter housing and a carbon pre-filter. It has duo filtration capabilities with two advanced 6 stage filters but not .01M capabilities. It does not have tourmaline or coral calcium in the filter. Unlike the two above machines it does have a ceramic water control valve shown at the bottom of the ionizer to the left. This helps in slowing the flow down to achieve higher alkalinity and higher –ORP values. pH of this machine typically is 3.5 to 10.5 pH with high -ORP readings. The Life ionizer comes with a 5 year warranty. This machine does not have the patented mesh plate technology or the DARC plate cleaning system.
The Life Ionizer 7000 represents a new type of technology where the acid and alkaline water both come out of the remote controlled faucet that is mounted to one side of the sink and the main ionizer body mounted under the sink Water flow rates have been reported as slow..Features are similar to the Life Ionizer 5000 with duo 6 stage advanced filtration that adds alkaline minerals to the water. This machine also comes with a 5 year warranty. This ionizer retails for $2,495 however there is a special introductory offer of $1,995
The
Delphi 's stylish and contemporary design and cutting edge
technology sets it a part from anything else available today. Similar to
the Life Ionizer 7000 in concept and technology there are major
differences in features. The Delphi is manufactured in S. Korea by
Emco Tech and sells for $2,645. Like the
Athena it has the most advanced
mesh electrodes in the world for superior ionization. Unlike any
other company ionizer on the market the Delphi has the patented
DARC system for automatic electrode
cleaning! Combine these advanced features with the
Ultra Biostone filter with .01 Micron filtration capabilities and
this ionizer stands aside of the competition at the zenith of the
ionizer market. This machine is new to the market and was introduced in
the fall of 2007 and has a
solid 5 year warranty.
The
Athena made by
Emco Tech
and introduced to the US in June 2007 is widely considered to be the
zenith of ionizer technology in the world today. Emco Tech has the most
amount of
patents and
awards in the business of manufacturing ionizers. The Athena can be
mounted on the counter top or installed under the sink with options to
plumb alkaline water to your icemaker or coffee machine. The Athena has
duo filtration capabilities and allows for selection of a high tech
specialty pre-fliter and the selection of the standard
Biostone filter or the
Ultra Biostone filter the finest domestic filter in the world.
Packing powerful advanced
mesh technology platinum coated electrolysis ionizer plates high
alkaline pH and -ORP values can be achieved. The patented and
revolutionary
DARC system automatically keeps the electrode plates clean for
superior durability and long life .The Athena
also has a patented water flow control valve shown in the photo above at
the bottom. The flow control valve allows for fine tuning of flow rate,

without doubt the best value for the money today!
